Overview

Cyril is a sweet, gentle boy who is looking for a patient family to help him settle into home life after finding himself lost and wandering with no known history. While he can be a little unsure in new situations, Cyril is affectionate, social, and enjoys getting out to explore the world around him. This handsome staffy boy loves sniffy outings and would happily join his new family for long walks, hikes, and outdoor adventures. He especially enjoyed splashing around in the pool during assessment, so water activities or beach trips may become one of his favourite hobbies. Cyril has shown friendly social skills with other dogs and particularly enjoyed spending time with a female Border Collie friend during his assessment. He would likely enjoy polite dog friendships and regular walking buddies while continuing to build confidence at his own pace. Although he is a larger, strong boy, Cyril was calm and gentle during handling and kennel interactions, showing a softer side that will shine once he feels safe and comfortable in his new home. With positive reinforcement training, enrichment, and patient guidance, Cyril has plenty of potential to grow into a wonderful companion.
